Materials Handler 2

Are you an experienced Material Handler looking for an opportunity to grow? If so, Emerson has an exciting position for you! Based in Pearland, TX, you will support receiving, storing, issuing, packaging, and shipping operations to ensure the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. You will verify incoming shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate material movement to production areas, and prepare domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will safely operate material handling equipment, support inventory accuracy, assist in resolving material discrepancies, and contribute to a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and compliance with purchase order requirements. 
• Document discrepancies and coordinate resolution with Purchasing and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, lot integrity, and country-of-origin documentation within inventory management systems.
• Store, issue, and distribute materials to production and other designated areas to support operational requirements.
• Reconcile inventory variances and assist with correcting discrepancies between inventory systems and sub-inventories used by Receiving, Inspection, and Production.
• Move inventory, MRO, and non-production materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Prepare, package, and ship products, supplier returns, and other material releases in accordance with domestic and international shipping requirements.
• Complete shipping documentation, determine freight costs, coordinate carriers, and ensure compliance with customer and trade regulations.
• Process and manage dangerous goods shipments in accordance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and maintain packaging inventory and manage warranty returns and Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests.
• Safely operate, inspect, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment, including maintaining daily inspection records.
• Provide training and guidance to other material handlers as requested.
• Qualify to operate company vehicles for material pickups and deliveries as required.
• Assist with dock security, material tracking, inventory investigations, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
   

For This Role, You Will Need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) year of related experience
• Qualified candidates must possess forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference may be given to those located in the local area.
