Registered Nurse Infection Control Specialist

• Location: Nashville, TN
• Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown
• Department: Infection Control
• Schedule: Day Shift | PRN

• Administer the organization's Infection Control Plan and prepare the Infection Control Surveillance Summary.
• Develop policies and procedures to promote compliance with the mandates of applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies.
• Perform infection surveillance and investigation including planning, design, data collection, interpretation and reporting.
• Report infection surveillance, prevention and control information to all public health authorities as required by law.
• Provide consultation, education and training for infection control and prevention issues.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Certification specializing in Infection Control obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
