This role will be responsible for managing multi-state payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and serving as a key contributor in the transition from ADP to Rippling. The ideal candidate brings deep payroll expertise, hands-on Rippling experience, and knowledge of stock-based compensation payroll administration.
We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities:
- Lead payroll migration activities from ADP to Rippling, including data validation, parallel testing, issue resolution, and post-implementation support.
- Process and oversee multi-state payroll operations, including taxes, deductions, garnishments, and off-cycle payrolls.
- Configure and maintain payroll settings, earnings codes, tax jurisdictions, and compliance rules within Rippling.
- Ensure payroll accuracy through audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues and improve processes.
- Manage payroll impacts associated with stock-based compensation, including option exercises, vesting events, tax withholding, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and regulatory filings.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Develop documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal payroll and HR teams.
Experience Requirements:
- 7+ years of payroll administration experience, including multi-state payroll processing and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Rippling Payroll.
- Previous experience with ADP payroll platforms.
- Proven success leading or supporting payroll system implementations and conversions.
- Experience administering payroll for stock-based compensation events and related tax reporting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across HR, Finance, and Operations teams.
