Job description

Cam Programmer Location: Norfolk, VA Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am-4:30pm Type Direct Hire About the Company: Our client is a family owned company that manufactures valves for military and industrial applications. The CAM Programmer will be joining a company where their employees are their most treasured assets.

Job Responsibilities: The CAM Programmer will be well-versed in computer aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (Mastercam). The person in this position will be required to interface with both engineering and manufacturing daily.

Duties

Create new CAM programs utilizing Mastercam (toolpath programming for both milling and turning)
Design hard CNC work-holding fixtures (i.e. aluminum, steel) to be utilized for CNC milling operations - Design and create soft work-holding fixtures for secondary manufacturing processes and CMM measuring - Use design software to produce 2D and/or 3D designs - Incorporate manufacturing feedback into 3D model designs - Revise 2D Drawings as requested Benefits:
