Job Description

Electrician | Irvine, United Kingdom | On-site | £38,662

The Role

  • Install a variety of cables and electrical systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, and switches.
  • Perform cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment according to specifications.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with shipbuilding teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of electrical installations.
  • Ensure all work adheres to strict safety and quality standards.

What You'll Need

  • A completed Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification, with an SJIB card.
  • Experience in marine installations or major industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements.
  • Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Proficiency in mounting electrical equipment, earthing components, and completing cable terminations to trade standards.
  • Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
