Job Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the equipment that ensures continuous access to the innovation our customers rely on. The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate technical program manager to lead prototype engagements from discovery through the deployment of new technology deployments within AWS data centers in APAC.
Key job responsibilities- Own end-to-end delivery of brick and network deployment programs across all phases: staging, planning, cabling, build/morpheus, turn up, and DCO handoff.
- Partner with networking engineers, design engineers, capacity planners, supply chain, and vendor teams to define requirements, resolve dependencies, and deliver against committed timelines.
- Develop and maintain program schedules; proactively identify risks, define path to green plans, and escalated appropriately to protect delivery commitments.
- Provide regular progress reporting to stakeholders and leadership, communicating milestones, deviations, and trade offs with clarity.
- Manage competing priorities across concurrent projects, making informed trade offs between time, scope, and cost.
- Identify and implement scalable, data driven process improvements to streamline deployment workflows and improve on time delivery rates.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal partners on material delivery, cabling execution, and hardware installation activities.
- Define and track success metrics (SLA compliance, dwell times, on time delivery). Use data to inform priorities and drive continuous improvement.
- Write effective project charters, deployment plans, and operational runbooks that support repeatable execution.
- Support the introduction of new hardware technologies and deployment processes, from prototype trials through to production ready operational plans.
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software).
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.
- Experience writing business requirements documents, functional specifications, and use cases.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, charts, lookups, formulas, data cleansing).
- Excellent communication skills with leadership, stakeholders, and cross functional teams.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLookups) and SQL proficiency.
- Ability to complete complex tasks quickly with minimal guidance and manage multiple calendars.
- Experience with advanced analytics.
