QA Engineer - Maryland

Job Title: QA Engineer

Location: Baltimore, MD (Onsite)

• For this role, we’re primarily looking for someone to directly support manual functional testing of new features, along with regression testing that isn’t already covered by our automation suite. I’d expect that to make up roughly 75% of the role week to week.
• The product involves large-scale backend services and APIs that make up the core of our platform, along with front-end web applications.
• Some automation experience is valuable, but we don’t need a senior automation engineer or QA lead.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of functional testing experience
• 1+ year of test automation experience
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and front-end web applications
• Experience with Cypress preferred, plus tools such as Postman, Jira, AWS, and Datadog
• Strong troubleshooting, defect reporting, and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to develop and improve QA documentation and processes
• Proactive, motivated, and comfortable working and learning independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with microservices and monorepos is a plus
• We’re ultimately looking for someone earlier in their QA career who has a strong desire to learn and can fit well into an established QA organization, rather than someone coming in at a lead or highly senior level.
• We’re still looking for onshore or nearshore with full EST coverage.
