Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in the Nordics area we are currently recruiting for an HSE Manager to join our Data Centre team in Frankfurt.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the EHS field, working on large, complex projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the project EHS Plan on site.
  • Promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture among project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in site safety meetings with the Client and Trade Contractors.
  • Assist with the review and coordination of contractor safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Monitor high-risk activities and report observations, concerns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to verify compliance with Client requirements and local regulations.
  • Support safety campaigns, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and the tracking of corrective actions.
  • Provide day-to-day HSE guidance and support to project teams and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Client safety requirements and applicable local legislation.
  • Support the delivery of the Turner & Townsend Safety Programme and promote best practices across the project.
  • Escalate significant safety concerns and non-conformances to the project and HSE leadership teams.

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5+ years' experience in a construction HSE role, preferably within large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
  • Good understanding of construction safety requirements, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and HSE compliance processes.
  • Experience supporting site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with local health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Well-organized with strong coordination and administrative skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and promote a strong safety culture on site.
  • Proactive team player with a collaborative approach and willingness to learn and develop.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools.
  • Fluent English language skills, German is a plus.
  • Availability for on-site work
