Software Engineer III

Location: Buffalo, NY Salary: $80.00 USD Hourly - $88.00 USD Hourly Description:
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building and managing RESTful APIs, with a strong understanding of API design, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience with concurrent programming, multithreading, application performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Experience developing automated tests and applying software engineering best practices to ensure high-quality, reliable systems.
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to technical design discussions.
• Experience developing and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure and building cloud-native solutions.
• Experience implementing secure, scalable integrations and leveraging cloud services to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Experience implementing observability and resiliency solutions, including monitoring, logging, alerting, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions and SaaS application migrations.
• Knowledge of modern API security standards, including OAuth 2.0.
• Experience building resilient distributed systems using patterns such as retries, idempotency, validation, exception handling, and reconciliation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience leading cloud modernization and large-scale application migration initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and make data-driven technical decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to drive engineering excellence and influence technical strategy across teams.
