The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte, NC. This facility employs 400+ full time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 SKU's. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage

The Cut & Pack Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring an automated system that cuts and packages sandpaper sheets to meet quality, safety, and production requirements. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient production flow, product quality, and equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Operations
- Operate and monitor the automated Cut & Pack production system.
- Load rolls of sandpaper onto the machine as required.
- Assist with machine setup, startup, and successful operation.
- Perform machine changeovers, material loading, and equipment setup as needed.
- Retrieve and verify materials using SAP.
- Operate equipment including pin lifts, pallet lifts, and hoists.
Equipment Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime.
- Assist with machine adjustments as needed to maintain product specifications.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and assist with repairs in accordance with the established escalation process.
- Maintain knowledge of machine operating procedures and system functionality.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure products meet established specifications and customer requirements.
- Follow all quality standards and control measures associated with machine operation.
- Accurately complete production documentation and quality records.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Maintain a safe working environment and promote safe work practices.
- Follow machine cleanliness procedures and maintain proper tool organization.
- Support workplace organization and housekeeping standards in accordance with 6S principles.
Training & Development
- Complete all required Production Qualification & Training (PQ&T) activities.
- Maintain certification and qualification requirements.
- Read, understand, and follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely.
Preferred
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using SAP or similar manufacturing systems.
