AS400 Developer with RPG & SQL- Cincinnati, Ohio- Only W2

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot applications on the AS400/IBM i platform.
• Develop and maintain programs using RPG, RPGLE, RPG IV, and Free-Format RPG.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, embedded SQL, and SQLRPGLE programs.
• Work extensively with DB2 for i databases, including tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
• - Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  - Perform application modifications, debugging, testing, and production support.
  - Develop and maintain batch and interactive programs.
  - Work with CL/CLLE programs, job scheduling, and batch processing.
  - Identify and resolve application and database performance issues.
  - Perform impact analysis and root-cause analysis for production issues.
  - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.
  - Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.
  - Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers.
  Required Technical Skills
  - Strong experience with AS400 / IBM i / iSeries.
  - Strong hands-on experience with RPG/RPGLE.
  - Experience with RPG IV / Free-Format RPG.
  - Strong knowledge of SQL and SQLRPGLE.
  - Hands-on experience with DB2 for i.
  - Experience with CL/CLLE.
  - Knowledge of IBM i development and debugging tools.
  - Experience with batch jobs, job queues, and IBM i application processing.
  - Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
