Quick overview
Job description
About the Role
Join an early-stage industrial AI team building the multimodal AI core for smart glasses used by field technicians. You will develop and ship production vision-language systems that provide real-time assistance across industrial workflows.
What You'll Do
Build and ship agentic vision-language pipelines for visual reasoning across industrial procedures and inspections.
Develop evaluation tools, capture failure cases, and create data and fine-tuning workflows that improve model quality.
Adapt model orchestration and edge inference for changing connectivity and latency constraints.
Create real-time voice and video interfaces, including conversational and proactive alert experiences.
Fine-tune and optimize multimodal models for enterprise and on-premise deployment.
What We're Looking For
Experience range: 0 to 3 years building and shipping production VLM or multimodal AI systems.
Strong Python and PyTorch skills, with experience in computer vision and vision-language models.
Hands-on experience with multi-step agents that use tools, model orchestration, evaluation design, and data feedback loops.
Applied fine-tuning experience, such as SFT or RLHF, and model deployment or optimization, rather than a focus solely on training models from scratch.
Experience with technologies such as vLLM, Triton, Ray Serve, ONNX, TensorRT, Hugging Face Transformers, quantization, and edge inference.
Production experience in a startup or fast-paced engineering environment, with a track record of shipping systems to users.
Background in wearables, augmented reality, autonomous driving, or industrial AI is valuable. A relevant degree or equivalent demonstrated experience is expected.
