The Role

• Interpret engineering drawings and prepare plate materials using cutting and grinding techniques.
• Assemble and fabricate ship structures, ensuring accurate fitting and tack-welding of components.
• Produce various ship items, including seating, ladders, flooring, and watertight doors.
• Operate machine tools for material forming, such as rolling, flanging, and cutting equipment.
• Adhere to strict safety and quality standards in all manufacturing processes.

What You'll Need

• Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers and relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Up-to-date fabrication knowledge and hands-on experience in construction or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to operate oxy-fuel and/or plasma cutting equipment safely and effectively.
• Understanding and application of SHE principles and risk assessment requirements.
• Experience working safely in confined spaces or at height, supported by relevant certifications.
• Ability to follow strict security and export control requirements.
