Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer to drive manufacturing test readiness for next-generation consumer hardware products. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead responsible for ensuring product test systems are fully prepared before entering production. Working across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams, you will identify issues early, resolve manufacturing test challenges, and improve product quality throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing test readiness activities for hardware products transitioning from prototype to mass production.
- Coordinate and execute manufacturing dry runs to validate test processes before production builds.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software test failures, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with electrical, firmware, software, manufacturing, and operations teams to resolve integration issues.
- Analyze manufacturing data to improve test coverage, product quality, and production efficiency.
- Develop scripts and automation tools using Python or C to improve testing and log analysis.
- Monitor manufacturing build progress and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Recommend improvements to manufacturing test methodology and validation strategy.
- Ensure manufacturing test systems meet quality and reliability standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or similar discipline.
- 3+ years of hardware validation, manufacturing engineering, systems integration, or NPI experience.
- Experience working with embedded hardware, PCBs, or electronic systems.
- Strong debugging and failure analysis skills.
- Experience with Python, C, or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of manufacturing test development and validation.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques such as Gage R&R or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting consumer electronics manufacturing.
- Familiarity with I2C, SPI, UART, USB, or similar communication protocols.
- Experience working with international contract manufacturers or OEM partners.
- Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes.
- Exposure to sensors, displays, batteries, power systems, or imaging technologies.
- Experience leading technical initiatives within NPI programs.
Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid – Tuesday through Thursday Onsite)

Pay Rate: $80–$105/hour (DOE)
