Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for Senior Design Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Portsmouth on an initial 12 months contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same.

The rate per hour: £42.08 per hour inside IR35 / umbrella

Role:

To undertake a defined range of detail design activities in line with all relevant processes and quality

Requirements of Mechanical/Piping design package and reports for Installation solutions on Legacy Warships,

Supplying advice and support to operations and other functions and/or to organise and co-ordinate aspects of detail design activity ensuring defined objectives are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements

Skills:

Required to exchange complex engineering design information at Design Reviews. AutoCAD/Inventor design experience and in addition to this, having the ability to produce detailed manufacturing & assembly drawings

An understanding of detailed system and technical engineering drawings including manufacturing drawings with knowledge of projection layouts, scaling & tolerancing

Knowledge of ship system engineering drawings such as diagrammatic, piping isometrics and also ship systems materials and equipment (symbols)
