Job Description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Infrastructure Readiness PM for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY.
Responsibilities :
Seeking an infrastructure project manager from the financial services industry with experience in data center, real time market data, electronic trading and/or low latency network switch technology.
This role is hands-on, fast paced and a high-volume environment.
  • The role will focus on critical day-to-day project management activities associated with the installation and coordination of new electronic trading infrastructure at Data Centers and Colocations, client connectivity and extranet services.
  • As an IT project manager, you will be responsible for multiple ongoing projects throughout their execution cycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope and timeline.
  • This role will focus on project lifecycle for electronic trading including hardware tracking, installation coordination of network equipment, circuits, cross-connects and partnership with network operations to test, turn up and operationalize new services into production. This role is not application focused but rather network infrastructure readiness.
Required Skills :
  • 12 years of technology project management experience within financial services firm / industry / exchange / colocation
  • Experience leading network infrastructure programs/projects at Data Centers or offices
  • Intermediate-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, carrier circuits, data centers
  • Experience working with client-facing groups, market data teams and a full knowledge of exchanges [NYSE, Nasdaq, BATS.etc)
  • Knowledge of working with data B2B providers like BT Radianz, and TNS.
  • Proven experience developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various Business, Technology, Operations, Control partners and stakeholders.
  • Familiar with network infrastructure, IT Infrastructure, and network architecture.
  • Knowledge and experience in workflow management software (e.g., Jira) and ServiceNow.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately.
  • Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn the business and understand detailed requirements.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams, including Operations, Design/Arch Technology, Risk and Compliance.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio, and MS Teams.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in project management and product management in the finance and technology field.
  • Proven-related experience preferably in the financial services industry, Low Latency, Market Data and Trading Desk or management consulting.
  • Previous experience with Kanban and Agile
  • On-site presence 3x per week in NYC
Preferred Skills :
  • Bachelors degree (preferred)
  • CCNA a plus
  • PMP certification a plus
