Job description

Role: Tableau admin with Looker
Location- Irving, TX ( remote -ok)
Contract: W2

Key responsibilities – Tableau consolidation (primary)

  • Migrate sites, projects, workbooks, data sources, extracts, schedules and permissions between Tableau servers (Content Migration Tool, REST API, tabcmd)
  • Run discovery and inventory: content, usage, owners, dependencies and embedded links
  • Build and test migration scripts and rollback steps in non-prod before production cutover
  • Support Tableau Server upgrades (2023.3 / 2024.2 to 2025.x) and post-upgrade validation
  • Re-map users, groups and permissions, including AD/SSO
  • Handle credential re-authentication, extract refresh validation and capacity checks
  • Support pilot and wave cutovers, hypercare and decommissioning of source servers


Key responsibilities – Looker (secondary)

  • Administer Looker: users, groups, roles, model sets, connections and content access
  • Manage LookML projects, Git integration, deployment and environment promotion
  • Monitor performance, PDTs, schedules and usage via System Activity
  • Convert selected Tableau dashboards to Looker and validate against source
