Founding Product Designer

About the Role

Join an early-stage AI data company as its first product designer, owning the end-to-end experience for a platform that helps contributors complete data tasks used in AI development. You will shape intuitive consumer-focused workflows and bring designs directly to production.

What You'll Do

• Identify usability challenges and design, implement, and ship improvements across the contributor platform.

• Create clear user flows that help non-technical contributors understand complex task requirements.

• Partner with company leadership and engineers to turn project needs into intuitive product experiences.

• Build and maintain the design system, reusable components, and visual language.

• Use AI coding tools and the existing frontend stack to implement and ship UI changes.

• Prototype quickly, observe user behavior, and iterate on designs and experiments.

• Improve product quality across loading and empty states, responsive layouts, copy, and edge cases.

What We're Looking For

• One to two years of product or UX design experience, including internships, with consumer product design experience.

• Strong design taste, high iteration speed, and experience exploring multiple design directions and experimentation.

• Experience shipping frontend or UI changes to production, not only handing off designs.

• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, and experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.

• Startup experience and comfort working in a fast-moving environment; experience as a founding or solo designer is a plus.

• Product design experience beyond dashboard-focused B2B work.

• Authorization to work without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $130,000 to $160,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
