Job Description

Our client, a higher-education organization, is seeking an expert PeopleSoft Student Financials / Student Accounts Consultant with strong experience working with Florida universities and the Florida Prepaid College Plan. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing an automated, end-to-end integration between the Florida Prepaid system and PeopleSoft Student Administration / Student Accounts.The ideal candidate must have deep functional and technical expertise in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Student Financials, Florida Prepaid billing processes, and API-based integrations, along with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable, automated API integration between the Florida Prepaid College Plan system and PeopleSoft Student Accounts.
• Configure, develop, and test PeopleSoft Integration Broker, REST/SOAP APIs, Application Engine processes, PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, and SQL.
• Automate student billing, invoicing, payment processing, and Florida Prepaid-related workflows.
• Eliminate manual data entry and repetitive processes associated with Florida Prepaid file transfers and updates.
• Analyze existing processes and develop efficient, maintainable integration solutions.
• Collaborate closely with IT, Student Financials, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and business rules.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Provide knowledge transfer and hands-on training to the client's IT team.
• Ensure the solution is clean, well-documented, scalable, and maintainable by internal IT personnel after project completion.

Required Qualifications

• Direct experience working for a Florida university is mandatory.
• Expert-level experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions – Student Financials / Student Accounts.
• Hands-on experience with the Florida Prepaid College Plan, including billing processes, file structures, payment mechanisms, and integrations.
• Strong experience designing and implementing PeopleSoft integrations and APIs.
• Proficiency with:
• PeopleSoft Integration Broker
• REST/SOAP APIs
• PeopleCode
• Application Engine
• Component Interfaces
• SQL
• Experience automating higher-education billing and student financial processes.
• Ability to develop clean, well-documented, and maintainable solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Consulting experience with the Florida College System (FCS) or State University System of Florida (SUS).
• Experience delivering end-to-end process automation within higher-education environments.
• Previous experience providing knowledge transfer and long-term support documentation to university IT teams.
