Cybersecurity Engineer

GovCIO LLC seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to secure mission-critical federal IT systems within our Information Technology & Cybersecurity team. You will design, implement, and optimize security solutions across networks, endpoints, and cloud environments, monitor for threats, and lead incident response and remediation efforts. In this growth-focused role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen architectures, support compliance, and advance continuous improvement, contributing directly to GovCIO's mission to transform government IT through agile, innovative, and customer-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions for federal IT systems
• Monitor networks, endpoints, and cloud environments for threats and anomalies
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with IT teams
• Investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents and breaches
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and cybersecurity teams to secure architectures
• Support audits, compliance, and reporting for federal security requirements
• Continuously evaluate and optimize security tools and processes
