Job Description

Job Description ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide formal training in support of the Targeting Intelligence Formal Training Unit (TIFTU).
  • Develop, update, and maintain course materials, lesson plans, training aids, and instructional products to ensure alignment with current systems, tools, and operational requirements.
  • Deliver classroom instruction, conduct academic evaluations, and administer testing in accordance with established training standards.
  • Facilitate practical exercises and scenario ‑ based training events.
  • Instruct on core targeting topics, to include, at a minimum:
  • Intermediate Target Development (ITD)
  • Advanced Target Development (ATD)
  • Combat Assessment (CA)
  • Target System Analysis (TSA)
  • Target Discovery
  • Mission Planning
  • The Joint Targeting Cycle Required Skills
  • 6 Years of Experience and a Bachelor's Degree or 10 Years and an Associates' Degree
  • Documented targeting experience within the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
  • Demonstrated experience in ITD, ATD, joint targeting, or comparable targeting functions.
  • Ability to work in a structured training environment and to deliver instruction to personnel engaged in operational targeting missions.
  • Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, subject ‑ matter expertise , and the ability to adhere to established training standards and procedures.

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience supporting the 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group (ISRG) or familiarity with its mission sets.
  • Targeting experience at the Combatant Command, Air Operations Center (AOC), Joint Task Force (JTF), Major Command (MAJCOM), or unit level.
  • Previous instructional or formal teaching experience.
