Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is Looking for a Remote Mortgage Compliance Analyst (LO/Branch Licensing) in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit mortgage lender and business licensing applications
* Manage company, branch, and loan originator licensing activities through NMLS
* Handle branch openings, closings, address changes, and related licensing filings
* Monitor, renew, and maintain company, branch, and LO licenses
* Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory filings
* Assist with quarterly Mortgage Call Report (MCR) filings
* Review reporting data for accuracy and identify discrepancies requiring escalation
* Track regulatory deadlines, license renewals, filings, and surety bond requirements
* Monitor state and federal regulatory changes and communicate impacts to the business
* Partner with internal departments, branch managers, and loan officers regarding licensing and compliance matters
* Maintain documentation and records in accordance with compliance requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree preferred; Finance, Business, Legal, or related background is a plus
* Experience in the mortgage industry
* Compliance, licensing, regulatory reporting, or related experience
* Strong experience with Mortgage Call Reports (MCR)
* Experience analyzing and validating MCR data for accuracy and completeness
* Experience with state mortgage reporting and state-specific regulatory filings
* Knowledge of NMLS licensing processes
* Ability to identify reporting discrepancies and research compliance issues
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
