The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment to safely load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to efficiently position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize various equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for stacking, moving, and organizing containers.
• Conduct essential equipment inspections before and after operation to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and tasks.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain open availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
