Data Scientist – Revenue Growth Management (CPG)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with deep Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience, specifically focused on Revenue Growth Management (RGM). The ideal candidate brings extensive knowledge of pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, product assortment optimization, and data-driven commercial decision-making.

In this role, you will leverage strong hands-on expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), and Databricks to develop, implement, and optimize advanced analytical models that drive revenue growth and profitability. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex datasets into actionable commercial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development & Implementation: Develop and implement advanced Data Science and Machine Learning models dedicated to Revenue Growth Management initiatives.

• Commercial Strategy Optimization: Analyze and optimize pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, product assortment, and overall revenue growth opportunities.

• Statistical & Predictive Analytics: Apply statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques to enhance pricing intelligence, demand forecasting, and promotional planning.

• Large-Scale Data Handling: Work with large, complex CPG datasets to identify market trends, consumer behavior patterns, pricing sensitivities, and growth drivers.

• Databricks Utilization: Leverage Databricks for data processing, analytical modeling, feature engineering, and ML model development.

• Scalable Solutions: Build scalable analytical systems supporting pricing optimization, promotion planning, assortment decisions, and profitability improvement.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business, commercial, and data engineering teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.

• Model Evaluation & Deployment: Evaluate model performance, communicate analytical findings to stakeholders, and support the deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of ML models and pipelines.

Required Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Strong, proven experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, specifically within Revenue Growth Management (RGM).

• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of pricing, promotions, assortment optimization, and the underlying data used to make commercial decisions.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.

• Databricks & Python: Practical, hands-on experience using Databricks for data analysis and model development, alongside proficiency in Python and core data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.).

• Data Translation: Proven ability to work with large datasets and translate complex analytical results into clear, actionable business recommendations.

• Working Hours: Comfortable working during US business hours and collaborating across US time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering ecosystems.

• Knowledge of demand forecasting, price elasticity, trade promotion optimization, and commercial analytics.

• Experience deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production environments.
