Ansible Developer

We are seeking an experienced Ansible Developer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for enterprise infrastructure and application environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform/Tower, YAML, Python, Linux/RHEL, and CI/CD.

The candidate will work with infrastructure and DevOps teams to automate configuration management, deployments, operational processes, and enterprise infrastructure activities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows.
• Develop reusable automation solutions using Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Tower, or AWX.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, and operational tasks.
• Create and maintain YAML-based Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Integrate Ansible automation with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Develop scripts using Python and/or Shell to support automation requirements.
• Work with Linux/RHEL environments and troubleshoot automation issues.
• Manage inventories, variables, templates, handlers, and dependencies.
• Implement automation standards, version control, and code-review practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and DevOps teams.
• Troubleshoot failed automation jobs and identify root causes.
• Document automation processes, workflows, and technical solutions.
• Support production automation and participate in incident resolution as required.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible.
• Experience developing Ansible Playbooks and Roles using YAML.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible Tower, AWX, or Ansible Automation Platform.
• Strong Linux/RHEL administration experience.
• Strong scripting skills with Python and/or Shell.
• Experience with Git and source-code management.
• Experience integrating Ansible with Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms.
• Strong understanding of configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with REST APIs and automation integrations.
• Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
