Job Description

The position offers broad exposure to the legal and commercial activities of an investment management business, working closely with colleagues across investment, finance, operations and other business functions.

The role offers a clear, long-term career path, with opportunities for progression as responsibilities develop.

Salary will depend on the candidate's present experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, reviewing and maintaining commercial contracts, NDAs, engagement letters and other legal documentation.
  • Supporting legal due diligence and documentation relating to investment transactions.
  • Assisting with corporate governance, regulatory filings and associated legal administration.
  • Preparing documentation for investor and committee meetings.
  • Maintaining and improving legal templates, records and internal processes.
  • Providing wider legal and administrative support across the business.

The Candidate

At this stage we are only interested in individuals who have gained experience within private markets investment firms, including Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure and Real Assets.

You should have a sound understanding of commercial contracts and corporate legal matters, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Equally important will be a proactive, practical approach and the confidence to work with colleagues across different business functions.

Potential candidates could already be working as a Paralegal, but may equally hold a position such as a Legal Assistant, Company Secretarial Assistant, Compliance Associate or Fund Operations Associate within a Private Markets firm as long as they have the legal background.

Timing and Initial Conversations

Formal interviews are expected to commence in December 2026.

At this early stage, I am looking to meet and benchmark candidates who are already working within private markets investment firms. I would be particularly interested in speaking with

Paralegals who are considering their next move, even if they are not actively looking at present.

Please contact me in confidence if you would welcome an initial conversation.
