Job Description

Integration Engineer

Duration: 12 months, room to extend

  • Real Estate Integration & Reporting Consultant
  • About the Role
  • We're looking for a Real Estate Integration & Reporting Consultant to help bring together the technology landscape of a growing real estate business. As the organization integrates acquired companies with its existing operations, you'll map how applications, data, integrations, and reporting fit together, find where capabilities overlap, and help shape a consolidated platform.
  • This is a hands-on role that combines discovery and documentation with delivery. You'll run sessions with business and technical stakeholders, turn what you learn into clear requirements, and build SQL, integration, and reporting solutions yourself. You'll also support day-to-day Real Estate Technology priorities.
  • What You'll Do
  • What You Bring
  • Map the current landscape. Lead and take part in discovery sessions to document applications, data flows, integrations, and reports across acquired and existing businesses. This includes source and target systems, feeds, interfaces, owners, consumers, manual workarounds, and undocumented dependencies.
  • Define requirements. Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, source-to-target mappings, feed and report specifications, and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Build and deliver. Develop or modify SQL extracts, transformations, reconciliation queries, data-quality checks, interfaces, and reports.
  • Recommend practical solutions. Evaluate existing enterprise tools before proposing new ones. Where a tactical fix is needed, document it along with clear criteria for transitioning or retiring it.
  • Plan consolidation. Identify overlapping capabilities, dependencies, and risks, and help define a logical, phased migration path.
  • Test and validate. Prepare and run integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing. Investigate discrepancies and document root causes.
  • Support ongoing operations. Contribute to BAU work, including SQL development, feed troubleshooting, reporting, reconciliation, and production support.
  • Nice to Have
  • Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL development skills
  • Experience documenting data feeds, database interfaces, APIs, scheduled extracts, or file-based integrations
  • A track record of producing requirements, interface specifications, source-to-target mappings, report specifications, and test scenarios
  • Comfort facilitating discovery with business and technical stakeholders, and turning ambiguity into documented decisions and next steps
  • Background in operational, financial, management, or investment reporting, including data quality and reconciliation
  • Strong documentation, communication, problem-solving, and knowledge-transfer skills
  • What Success Looks Like
  • Commercial real estate, investment management, or commercial mortgage lending (CML) experience
  • Databricks, Azure data services, Power BI, or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, system integrations, migrations, or platform consolidation
  • Familiarity with real estate and investment platforms such as MRI, RealINSIGHT, Investran, Pereview, Aladdin, DealCloud, Argus Enterprise, Anaplan, or eFront
  • Applications, feeds, reports, consumers, and dependencies are fully understood before anything is built or retired.
  • Business needs are captured in clear, testable specifications.
  • Priority feeds and reports are delivered, validated, and reconciled.
  • Consolidation risks, open decisions, and migration dependencies are visible to leadership.
  • Solutions and documentation can be supported by the Real Estate Technology team long after delivery.
