Job DescriptionOur client is a leading global professional services firm in Bermuda, part of a wider island-based network of several thousand professionals spanning multiple offshore jurisdictions. The firm provides audit, tax and advisory services to a broad client base, with particular strength in insurance, asset management and international business.\n\nThis is an opportunity to build your tax career in a world-class financial centre offering an exceptional quality of life.

The successful candidate will reside and work in Bermuda, with full relocation support and work permit sponsorship provided.\n\nThe practice helps clients manage their US income tax reporting obligations across insurance, hedge funds, private equity funds and private clients, alongside local tax laws and regulations including Economic Substance, Pillar 2, VAT and AEOI (FATCA/CRS).

The role is open at experienced Manager or Senior Manager level depending on the candidate.\n\nThe role\n\nJoining the tax management team, you will assist in the growth and development of the US Tax practice while supervising the preparation of US income tax returns for a sophisticated client base — corporations, partnerships, and specialised areas including property & casualty insurance, international executive taxation, and hedge funds / private equity funds.

At Senior Manager level, you will work directly with the Tax Partner, bringing a high level of technical knowledge and judgement, and may be expected to develop knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n\n Supervising the preparation of US income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, insurance entities and investment funds\n Overseeing tax staff, managing projects, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance in client delivery\n Maintaining strong technical knowledge of US domestic and international tax rules relevant to the client base\n Building and maintaining client relationships\n Supporting the professional development of staff through supervision, mentoring and training\n Contributing to the growth and development of the practice\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n Manager level: at least 5 years of US tax experience in public accounting or a professional services environment, with a US tax specialisation\n Senior Manager level: 6–8 years of US tax experience\n CPA designation (EA, LLM in Taxation, ACA, ACCA or CA also considered; LLM in Tax preferred at SM level)\n Strong technical knowledge of US federal income tax for corporations and partnerships\n Experience with insurance companies and/or investment funds (hedge funds, private equity) is a plus; ASC 740 tax provision review experience preferred\n Proven ability to supervise, mentor and develop tax staff\n Excellent verbal and written communication skills; high attention to detail; comfortable working independently and within a small team\n Flexibility to manage extended hours during busy periods\n Willingness to relocate to Bermuda (full assistance and work permit sponsorship provided)\n\n\nWhat's on offer\n\n\n A competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience\n Full relocation support and work permit sponsorship\n A work-life balance with a genuine emphasis on health and wellbeing\n Flexible vacation scheme\n Comprehensive health coverage\n A well-established corporate social responsibility programme\n\n\nConfidentiality Statement: At Quix Recruitment, we prioritise confidentiality throughout the recruitment process.
