Job Description
Join us as a Colleague Communications Lead
- For someone with proven business partnering, communications strategy and writing skills, this is an opportunity to join the Corporate Affairs function
- You'll be responsible for delivering quality, engaging colleague and leaders communications, partnering with the Finance and Strategy & Corporate Development functions
- Joining a collaborative and influential team in a fast-moving environment, with lots of variety, challenge and visibility
- You'll work from home some of the time, but you'll also spend two days a week working from the London office
What you'll do
In this key role, you'll be delivering successful communications that support our priorities and engage colleagues in the most effective way. As a trusted adviser, you'll be responsible for executive messaging opportunities and content for colleague communications, making sure they're delivered to a high standard and with a consistent tone and style.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Working closely with colleagues in our media, public affairs and public policy teams across Corporate Affairs on our executives' profiles both internally and externally
- Providing communications counsel and advice to executives
- Responsible for the communication elements of executive briefings
- Supporting major change announcements
- Developing an employee communications strategy and channel mix that delivers impactful messaging
- Measuring the impact of the communications strategy
The skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with a strong background in business partnering and communications. Experience of launching major communications campaigns, events or marketing projects would be beneficial. You'll bring creative and innovative thinking to your work, collaborating with your colleagues to deliver high quality, engaging communications.
In addition, you'll need:
- Full knowledge of internal communications management, channels, tools and techniques
- The ability to build impactful, positive relationships with executives and senior managers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting and frequently changing priorities
- A good understanding of finance and the Groups commercial priorities
