Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Location: Varies based on available positions

Overview: Commonwealth Medical Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive care to patients across diverse demographics. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide range of health conditions, as well as promoting preventative health measures and educating patients about their health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical examinations, assess patient health, and deliver medical treatment.
  • Prescribe medications, manage chronic diseases, and recommend lifestyle changes to improve patient health.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate health records in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NP or PA license in the applicable state.
  • National certification as an NP or PA.
  • Previous experience in family medicine or primary care is preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
