IT - ADMIN - SAP Developer/Global Support Manager - Cloud and Data Engineering Architect

The State of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Cloud and Data Engineering Architect to support enterprise modernization initiatives. This senior-level role will provide architecture leadership for the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale cloud solutions, including the development of a cloud-native integration platform connecting statewide agencies, SCEIS, and enterprise business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Azure cloud solutions.
• Design and govern cloud-native integration platforms supporting statewide agency systems and enterprise applications.
• Define enterprise architecture standards, cloud governance, and best practices.
• Architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and integration solutions.
• Design enterprise data engineering and integration frameworks supporting business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with business, technical, and executive stakeholders to define cloud modernization strategies.
• Lead cloud migration, application modernization, and enterprise integration initiatives.
• Ensure security, compliance, scalability, and performance across Azure environments.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, and solution recommendations.
• Develop architecture documentation, technical standards, and implementation roadmaps.
• Mentor development teams and provide guidance on cloud architecture and engineering best practices.
• Support enterprise integration between SAP, SCEIS, and other statewide business applications.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Azure cloud solutions.
• Strong expertise in cloud architecture, cloud governance, and enterprise integration.
• Experience designing cloud-native integration platforms and modern data engineering solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application integration and API architecture.
• Experience leading cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, security, identity management, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating enterprise architecture standards and technical roadmaps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating SAP environments with enterprise business applications.
• Experience supporting large government or public sector modernization projects.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture patterns, microservices, and event-driven integration.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with enterprise data engineering, cloud data platforms, and API management.
