The Role

• Provide engineering support to multiple submarine shipbuilding program offices and related organizations.
• Contribute to the research, development, acquisition, and maintenance of submarine systems.
• Apply scientific and mathematical principles to solve complex technical challenges.
• Design and develop innovative solutions for naval shipboard electrical and propulsion equipment.
• Analyze the environmental and user impact of developed products and systems.
• Estimate project timelines and costs for critical shipbuilding initiatives.

What You'll Need

• Master's degree in any technical or engineering discipline.
• 7 years of professional engineering experience (desired).
• 7+ years of experience in the design, testing, qualification, and production of naval shipboard electrical and/or propulsion equipment (desired).
• Knowledge and experience with Submarines and/or the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (desired).
• Experience with large electrical machines and/or power electronics (desired).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess a Secret security clearance.
