Job Description

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Year 5 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, starting in January 2025. This is a great role for a teacher who is passionate about delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum to students as they progress toward Key Stage 2 assessments.

About the Role:
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that challenge and motivate your students, preparing them for their final year in primary school. You’ll have the chance to create a dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, collaborate, and develop a love for learning. You will also provide tailored support to help students meet their individual goals, while fostering a classroom culture of respect and curiosity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across a range of subjects, in line with the National Curriculum
  • Support students in preparing for their transition to Year 6, equipping them with the skills needed for success in their final year of primary school
  • Work closely with other teachers and staff to share best practices and create a cohesive approach to teaching across the school
