Data Consultant Fully Remote, Permanent, Full-time Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE) + benefits About the Opportunity We're recruiting for a Data Consultant to join a growing technology business that delivers software and data solutions to public sector organisations across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong technical data migration skills with a customer-focused consultancy approach. You'll work directly with clients throughout the data migration lifecycle, leading discussions, gathering requirements and delivering successful migration and integration projects. You'll be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring a smooth and accurate transition of data into new platforms. • Deliver end-to-end data migration and transformation projects for multiple clients.
• Lead customer meetings and gather business requirements, translating them into technical data solutions.
• Work with SQL to extract, transform, validate and reconcile data from multiple source systems.
• Perform complex data mapping between legacy applications and target platforms, including CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Carry out data quality checks, cleansing and validation to ensure accurate and reliable migrations.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and provide guidance throughout the migration process.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve data issues and continually improve migration processes and documentation.
• Manage multiple projects and stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timescales. Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in a Data Consultant, Data Migration Consultant, Technical Consultant or similar customer-facing data role.
• Strong SQL skills with experience of data migration, transformation and ETL processes.
• Experience working with structured datasets, data mapping, validation and reconciliation.
• Confident leading meetings with customers and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into practical technical solutions.
• A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to Salesforce data migrations or CRM platforms would be advantageous.
