Technical Project Manager – Digital

Top Consulting is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver digital technology initiatives across the organization. This individual will manage projects involving digital platforms, customer-facing technologies, eCommerce, websites, mobile applications, integrations, and other digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical project management skills with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, architects, and third-party vendors. Experience in the retail industry and supporting digital customer experiences is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of digital and technology projects from initiation through implementation and post-launch support.
• Manage projects involving digital platforms, websites, mobile applications, eCommerce, customer experience, and system integrations.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, priorities, and success criteria.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, including software developers, architects, UX/UI designers, QA teams, data teams, and external vendors.
• Facilitate project meetings, status updates, sprint planning, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable work for technical teams.
• Coordinate dependencies across multiple technology platforms and business teams.
• Support Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies, depending on project needs.
• Monitor project progress and provide clear reporting to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Drive issue resolution and remove obstacles impacting project delivery.
• Support testing, deployment, launch planning, and post-implementation activities.
• Help drive continuous improvement in project management processes and digital delivery practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, IT Project Management, Digital Project Management, or a related role.
• Experience in the retail industry strongly preferred.
• Experience managing complex technology and digital initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technology project delivery.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms, websites, mobile applications, customer experience platforms, or omnichannel initiatives.
• Experience working with APIs, system integrations, cloud-based applications, and enterprise technology platforms.
• Experience managing projects involving customer-facing digital products and platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
