Process Piping Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Austin, TX is seeking a highly motivated Process Piping Designer to support the design and construction of factory and data center infrastructure. This role leads the development of concept, permit, construction, fabrication, and as-built drawings for complex process piping systems across facilities, including and Data Centers.

Responsibilities:
* Provide advanced drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining construction drawings, facility layouts, and engineering drawings
* Produce complex technical drawings including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and pipe routing drawings
* Develop 2D and 3D equipment and plant layouts for process piping systems
* Create fabrication-level 3D models, spool drawings, and bill of material estimates
* Prepare designs from general engineering instruction and evolving project requirements
* Develop and maintain accurate as-built drawings
* Coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines to optimize full-plant designs

REQUIREMENTS:
* Demonstrated ability to understand and model complex chemical or process plants using 2D and 3D drafting/modeling software
* 2+ years of experience in wet mechanical/piping drafting or process/chemical system design
* Proficiency in AutoCAD
* Proficiency in Revit
* Ability to produce P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and piping layouts
* Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and fabrication/joining methods
* Experience with CADmep Fabrication
* Experience creating fabrication spool drawings
* Background supporting industrial, manufacturing, or data center environments
* Experience coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and facilities engineering teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
