A tax supervisor manages tax-related activities, including tax planning, reporting, and compliance. They also supervise staff and ensure that tax returns are accurate and meet legal requirements.

Tax Supervisor 

Pay Rate: $110 000-130 000

We are seeking a Tax Supervisor to oversee trust and estate tax compliance and planning. This role involves reviewing complex tax filings, providing strategic estate planning advice, and managing client relationships. The position offers an opportunity to work with senior leadership and develop expertise in estate, gift, and fiduciary tax matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide fiduciary, personal income, gift, and estate tax compliance and planning services.
  • Review individual, fiduciary, estate, and gift tax returns.
  • Handle federal and state tax notices and audits.
  • Conduct tax research and develop tax-saving strategies.
  • Review estate planning legal documents and provide advisory support.
  • Manage client relationships and supervise team members.
  • Oversee fiduciary accountings for estates and trusts.
  • Train and mentor staff, managing workloads and performance.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MST preferred.
  • CPA preferred or progress toward CPA certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in trust, estate, and gift tax matters.
  • Experience in a public accounting firm required.
  • Expertise in tax compliance and estate/trust planning.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with tax software and research tools preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
