Application Packaging Specialist

The Application Packaging Specialist is responsible for packaging, testing, and deploying software updates required for enterprise vulnerability remediation initiatives. The role focuses on ensuring application compatibility, minimizing business disruption, and enabling rapid deployment of security patches across the endpoint environment. The specialist works closely with application owners, desktop engineering teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders to accelerate vulnerability closure and improve overall endpoint security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Package, test, and deploy software applications and security updates.
• Create and maintain MSI, MSIX, App-V, and other deployment packages.
• Perform application compatibility testing prior to broad deployment.
• Troubleshoot packaging and deployment issues affecting remediation activities.
• Collaborate with application owners and support teams to resolve installation barriers.
• Support software distribution through automated deployment tools.
• Maintain packaging standards, documentation, and release procedures.
• Contribute to reducing vulnerability remediation timelines through efficient packaging processes.
