Role: AS/400 Developer and support Analyst

Location Dallas, Texas US.

Job description:

Lead the design and implementation of technical solutions using AS/400 Utilities and RPG to meet business requirements.

Oversee the development and maintenance of applications using AS400/COBOL and CLP to ensure optimal performance.

Perform various analytical, technical, and administrative activities in the development, implementation, and support of in-house and vendor-developed software

Identify, analyze, and document business needs and system requirements by conferring with staff or users.

Assist with project plans for the development and/or implementation of large projects.

Develop, modify, maintain, test, and install applications to meet business requirements.

Code and debug programs in accordance with systems design and technical specifications.

Perform ongoing systems maintenance of custom applications to ensure proper application operation, functional efficiency, and effectiveness

Provides after-hours support as needed throughout the year

Having a strong Accounting/Finance background and experience supporting complex applications in the commercial Real Estate industry are a plus.

Proficiency in IBM iSeries platform consisting of the following skills

o RPG (RPG III, IV, ILE, Free-Format)

o CLP programming

o DDS programming

o SQL programming

o Embedded RPG/SQL programming

o Java/Embedded RPG Java calls

o Sub-File programming

o IFS

o Client Access/File Transfer, FTP/SFTP protocols

o Aldon LMi change management system or equivalent.

o DFU/FEU file maintenance tools

o Robot Reports iSeries reporting tool

o iSeries operations

Experience on other skills

o Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

o PowerBuilder
