About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life

This is private practice with physicians at the table. The practice is physician-owned and physician-led, with an emphasis on thoughtful scheduling, equitable call, clinical autonomy, and a sustainable long-term practice environment.

Your outpatient work will include preventive women's health, prenatal care, and management of a broad range of gynecologic conditions within an established patient and referral base. Physicians interested in surgery can maintain a procedural mix that includes minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, hysteroscopy, and cesarean sections.

You will work alongside certified nurse midwives, APPs, experienced clinical staff, and hospital partners. Established administrative and EHR workflows help keep care coordinated and reduce unnecessary physician workload.

Prefer gynecology without deliveries? A GYN-only path is available for the right candidate, providing an opportunity to remain in an established women's health practice while stepping away from obstetric deliveries.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Physician-owned and physician-run: Practice decisions are led by clinicians who understand the day-to-day work
  • GYN-only option: Step away from deliveries without having to leave the practice
  • Monday–Friday schedule: Full-time role with no weekends
  • Predictable shared call: Typically 3–6 shifts per month, depending on branch location
  • Partnership potential: Long-term ownership opportunity for eligible physicians
  • Established infrastructure: Strong referral base, experienced clinical support, and established workflows are already in place

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient OB/GYN care, including preventive care, well-woman exams, prenatal visits, and gynecologic consultations
  • Diagnose and manage common and complex gynecologic conditions, including fibroids, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, and pelvic floor disorders
  • Manage labor, delivery, intrapartum care, and postpartum follow-up for physicians practicing full-scope OB/GYN
  • Perform appropriate gynecologic procedures and surgeries, including minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures and hysteroscopy
  • Perform cesarean sections as part of full-scope obstetric practice
  • Collaborate with CNMs, APPs, clinical staff, and hospital-based teams to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in shared OB/GYN call coverage as applicable to practice scope
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Support continuity of care across outpatient, inpatient, and perioperative settings
  • Participate in clinical quality, safety, and practice improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Arizona MD or DO license or eligible
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
  • DEA registration or eligibility
  • Ability to obtain required hospital privileges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
  • Strong clinical and collaborative communication skills
  • Interest in community-based, continuity-focused women's health
  • Interest in a long-term private-practice and potential partnership opportunity
