They are seeking an experienced Engineer to contribute to significant submarine development and acquisition initiatives, fostering innovation and excellence in a collaborative environment. The Role • Provide expert support to key Program Offices within the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Submarine community. • Contribute to the development and acquisition phases of advanced submarine programs, including the COLUMBIA and VIRGINIA Classes, and future SSN(X) initiatives. • Apply scientific and mathematical principles to research, design, and develop technical solutions for complex engineering challenges. • Analyze the environmental and user impact of developed products and designed systems. • Engage in testing, production, and maintenance support, ensuring quality and efficiency. What You'll Need • Master's degree in any technical or engineering discipline. • Minimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience. • Desired: 7+ years of experience in the design, testing, qualification, and production of naval shipboard electrical and/or propulsion equipment. • Desired: Proven knowledge and experience with Submarines and/or the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. • Desired: Experience with large electrical machinery and/or power electronics. • Must hold a U.S. security clearance at the Secret level and be a U.S. citizen.
