Role summary:
Seeking an OpenText Developer to design, extend, and support solutions on the OpenText Content Suite/Archive stack. The role combines platform installation/configuration with OScript development, reporting, and integrations across enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch OpenText environments (Content Server, Archive Server, OTDS; Dev/Test/Prod).
- Develop OScript modules and customizations; package, deploy, and maintain extensions.
- Build and optimize WebReports and LiveReports; create reusable report components and dashboards.
- Configure and administer Archive Server policies, storage rules, and retention settings.
- Integrate Content Server with external systems via web services (SOAP/REST); develop supporting components using JavaScript/.NET as needed.
- Administer OTDS for authentication/SSO and directory integrations; manage permissions, roles, metadata, categories, and taxonomies.
- Troubleshoot performance and functional issues across application, web server (IIS/Apache), and database layers; analyze logs and tune configurations.
- Support migration and upgrade projects; plan cutovers, validate data, and execute rollbacks when required.
- Create technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and support guides; provide knowledge transfer to operations/support teams.

Must-have skills:
- OpenText Content Server (OTCS) administration and customization.
- OpenText Archive Server administration.
- OScript development (custom modules, event scripts, business logic).
- WebReports and LiveReports development.
- OpenText Directory Services (OTDS) configuration and administration.

Preferred skills:
- OpenText Exstream (design/deployment/integration).
- Web services (SOAP/REST), JavaScript, HTML, .NET.
- SQL (Oracle or SQL Server), query optimization for report development.
- IIS/Apache administration; basic Tomcat familiarity.
- Workflow, Smart UI/Smart View configurations, and Records Management exposure.
- Scripting/automation (PowerShell/Bash), version control (Git), CI/CD practices.
- Performance monitoring and logging tools; basic Windows/Linux administration.

Experience:
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server and Archive Server in enterprise environments.
- Proven track record delivering OScript customizations and WebReports/LiveReports.
- Experience with upgrades/migrations and production support.

Education and certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- OpenText certifications (Content Server, OTDS, or Archive) are a plus.

Work arrangements:
- Location: Onsite/Hybrid/Remote (as required).
- Availability to support planned releases/maintenance windows and occasional on-call support.
