The Role

• Collaborate with finance and accounting directors to ensure accurate and timely recording of journal entries and other transactions.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for accountants, providing guidance on transaction recording and company policies.
• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks for assigned communities, stepping in for those without dedicated accountants.
• Prepare daily reconciliations for cash accounts and monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Identify and resolve financial issues, developing processes and controls to prevent recurrence.
• Assist with the preparation of month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reports, consolidations, and other reporting as needed.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Solid understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
• Experience assisting with budgets, forecasting, and audit processes is beneficial.
