The Role
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a high-performing software engineering team.
This is a hands-on role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications and RESTful services using modern Java technologies. You will play a key role in building scalable microservices, delivering high-quality software solutions, and supporting the ongoing evolution of cloud-native and distributed application platforms.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Core Java development experience, expertise in Spring Boot and REST API development, and a passion for delivering clean, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions.

• Develop and maintain Java applications and REST APIs.
• Build scalable microservices using Spring Boot.
• Design robust application and data models.
• Apply Java design patterns and coding best practices.
• Manage builds and dependencies using Maven.
• Troubleshoot and optimise application performance.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years' Java development experience.
• Strong Core Java skills.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Hands-on Spring and Spring Boot experience.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
• Strong OOP and data modelling knowledge.
• Experience with Maven.
• Knowledge of Java design patterns.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• CI/CD and DevOps experience.
• Git, GitLab, or Bitbucket knowledge.
• SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience with Kafka or messaging platforms.
• Automated testing and Agile delivery experience.
