Job Description

Position: Senior CloudOps Engineer
Location: Virginia Preferred | Remote within the US
Experience: 3+ years in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or Systems Engineering
Environment: Azure Government / Azure Sovereign Cloud
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive automation and improve cloud operational efficiency.
  • Design, build, and enhance internal applications and DevOps pipelines.
  • Deploy and manage Azure services using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and ARM templates.
  • Troubleshoot C#/ASP.NET applications, IIS, and Azure PaaS services.
  • Support production issues, escalations, incident response, and 24x7 on-call rotations.
  • Work with engineering, product, and customer teams in a distributed environment.
  • Improve cloud security posture and support compliance/audit requirements.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and internal tooling.
  • Support Azure Government deployments with a focus on security, resiliency, performance, and availability.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
  • PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, JSON/YAML.
  • Strong programming experience with C#, ASP.NET, and IIS.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, AKS, Docker, and PaaS environments.
  • Strong Windows/Linux systems and networking knowledge.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Platform Engineering, and Cloud Automation.
  • Working knowledge of Azure SQL.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Teams, SharePoint, and VS Code.
  • Understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, ISO 27001, or PCI.
Nice to Have
  • Azure security tools such as WAF, Microsoft Sentinel, and Threat Protection.
  • Elasticsearch and Kibana.
  • Azure Redis Cache.
  • Strong Azure IaaS/PaaS experience.
  • Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI-driven platforms.
