Mechanical Assembler

Your role
As a Mechanical Assembler, supporting the Cryo Final Assembly operation, you will play an important role in assembling high-quality cryogenic vacuum pumps to meet production schedules and customer demand. You will report to the Production Team Leader.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with the potential for regular employment based on business needs and individual performance. The scheduled shift for this position is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
You will

• Produce cryogenic vacuum pump assemblies that meet workmanship standards, engineering specifications, and quality requirements.
• Complete assemblies in line with daily and scheduled production goals while maintaining required quality levels.
• Deliver products that successfully pass inspection, helium leak testing, and functional testing on initial submission.
• Ensure issues are identified and resolved during assembly to eliminate non-conforming products progressing through the production process.
• Produce assemblies that meet specified tolerances, fit, and operational performance criteria.
• Execute work in alignment with safety, quality, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe workplace and uninterrupted production flow.

To succeed, you will need
Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electromechanical assembler or in a similar mechanical/electromechanical assembly role
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical education
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications
• Basic computer proficiency
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate work instructions, safety information, and technical documentation in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing
• Experience with helium mass spectrometer leak detection
• Training or experience in torque tool usage
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems
• Exposure to 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
• Knowledge of Workmanship Standard 180

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50-75 lbs., as required to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Job location
