Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct personal care and assistance to veterans at a residential care facility in Warrensburg, Missouri.

The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), while maintaining their comfort, safety, dignity and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming and dressing.

• Provide personal hygiene and incontinence care as needed.

• Assist residents with mobility, positioning and transfers according to their care plans and training.

• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents.

• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate nursing staff.

• Follow facility policies, infection-control procedures and resident safety guidelines.

• Treat all residents with compassion, respect and dignity.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification or credential recognized in Missouri.

• Hands-on experience providing personal care and ADL assistance.

• Ability to work the assigned evening or overnight shift.

• Strong communication, interpersonal and resident-care skills.

• Ability to work on-site in Warrensburg, Missouri.

• Availability to start as soon as possible and commit to the approximately two-month assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility or long-term care setting.

• Experience caring for elderly residents or veterans.

• Familiarity with safe patient handling, mobility assistance and infection-control practices.

• Previous evening or overnight shift experience.
