Job Description

Team Manager - House Recovery | London, United Kingdom | Hybrid

We are hiring for a leading organisation dedicated to empowering individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. They are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to lead their domestic abuse service.

The Role

  • Oversee the operational running and strategic direction of a refuge for women and children fleeing domestic abuse.
  • Provide line management, leadership, and development for the staff team, promoting a trauma-informed, inclusive, and feminist approach.
  • Ensure the safety, security, and maintenance of the refuge, aligning with building standards and safeguarding protocols.
  • Manage day-to-day service delivery, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and supporting service user transitions.
  • Uphold high standards of person-centred support, particularly for individuals with complex or intersectional needs.
  • Lead on contract management, compliance monitoring, and financial accountability for the service.

What You'll Need

  • Solid general education, ideally with Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.
  • Experience in supervising staff and delivering high-quality support to individuals with diverse needs and risks.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, management, and safeguarding practices in domestic abuse contexts.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring, welfare benefits, and housing legislation, especially the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
  • Proficiency in IT systems such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and Power BI.
  • A genuine occupational requirement for fluency in one or more South Asian languages in addition to English.
