RCAT ENGINEER

Job Description

Must have experience working with Verizon (company or products) experience

Client is seeking an experienced resource to support the CIENA team. The ideal candidate will have previous Verizon RCAT experience and be capable of stepping into the role with minimal training.

Responsibilities

• Perform card adds.
• Perform card decommissions (decoms).
• Replace cards.
• Migrate circuits.
• Execute Canvas workflows on a Verizon laptop.
• Perform automation steps using Canvas.

Required Experience

• Previous Verizon RCAT experience.
• Experience with Canvas workflows.
• Experience performing automation steps using Canvas.
• Experience with MCP.
• Experience with Navigator.
• Experience with card adds, decoms, card replacements, and circuit migrations.

Preferred Experience

• Site Manager knowledge.
• Experience turning up routes.
• Experience turning services up from scratch.

Ideal Candidate

• Able to learn quickly and become productive with limited training.
• Comfortable working across organizational silos.
• Proactive and capable of keeping work moving forward without waiting on direction.

Additional Hiring Notes

• The most important qualifications are Verizon RCAT experience and experience with Canvas workflows/automation steps.
• Client preference is for candidates who have already performed the Verizon RCAT function and are familiar with the associated Verizon tools and processes.

NOTES

• "The key for this position would preferably be someone that has done the RCAT role before."
• Team is looking for someone who has already performed the role and can learn quickly.
• Team does not want to spend significant time teaching Verizon-specific processes.
• If a candidate has legitimately performed the Verizon RCAT role, they should already be familiar with Canvas and the associated workflow.
