Job Title: Mainframe Developer - COBOL/CICS (Automotive Finance)
Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid - 4 days)

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL/CICS, DB2, JCL, and MQ, along with domain experience in Automotive Finance. The role involves application development, production support, and performance optimization across multiple enterprise-level systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide application development and production support for large-scale mainframe applications
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including batch and online abends
Analyze and optimize daily/monthly batch processes to improve efficiency and reduce processing windows
Perform impact analysis across multiple systems and platforms
Deliver technical design, development, and estimation documentation
Participate in on-call support for batch processes during off-hours
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with
COBOL
CICS
DB2
JCL
IBM MQ
Experience in mainframe development + production support environment
Strong troubleshooting/debugging skills for batch and online systems
Familiarity with unit testing practices
Preferred Skills
Experience in Automotive Finance industry
Exposure to FIS Systematics (A plus but not Mandatory)
Soft Skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
